Honestly, ages in The Maze Runner are really vague all throughout the series. The wikia sites him as being 17, but he's obviously amongst the ranks of the older Gladers and could very well be 18. Who knows? Amnesia is a bitch. In the end, though, he comes from a post-apocalypse world where Everything Is Awful, which ages people a great deal and forces them to mature faster than the average person. He's made choices that are difficult for grown men, between leading his friends across a wasteland full of crazed cannibals and nearly dying pretty much every day of his life, nevermind the fact that he's more than willing to torture someone for information by shooting off their toes one by one...
Yeah, if Minho is 17, aging him up isn't much of a difference in the grand scheme of things.

INCENTIVE: Honestly, by the end of the series, most of Minho's friends are dead. This isn't even including Newt, whose death he is unaware of even by the end - though he likely suspects things - and instead nearly every single Glader, and a lot of the people that they tried to save from WICKED. Sure, he and Thomas managed to lead them all to Paradise in the end, but... well, it's just not enough, is it? His incentive would be the promise that those that made it will be safe, and that Paradise will have what it needs to prosper so that the immune will be able to survive.
FIT: Minho is actually super tactile. He's comfortable grabbing hold of his friends, throwing his arm around their shoulders and roughhousing his default modes of affection. But he's also pretty comfortable curling up with people to sleep, as evidenced in canon after the lightning storm that he's... nearly killed in. Honestly he doesn't really have much of a concept for personal space, though he definitely wouldn't go beyond what anyone was comfortable with. He's also keen on the idea of showing off and flirting with people, though his actions speak of being equal opportunity whereas his words tend towards the female gender.
